You don’t know cold

December 17th, 2008

Fair weather cycling fans have been complaining about the cold wave rushing across the US.  Its always funny to hear west cost riders complaining about riding in temperatures just above freezing, when in many other countries riders are suffering in temperatures down well below freezing without a wind chill.  I’m always reminded that the tale turns come summer time and temperatures are well over 100 degree’s F on the left coast and hear east coast riders complaining about riding in the 90’s.  Granted the humidity makes it feel like it’s 100, but nothing like Arizona and Nevada riders come up against when night time temperatures only drop down to low triple digits.

I guess the important thing for everyone is to remember we choose to ride and where we live (okay to a certain extent.)  Dress according to the weather and enjoy the ride.

Attached is a link to a to an article about dressing for winter success written by one of our sponsored riders.
